Differences Between UV Laser Marking Machine and Fiber Laser Marking Machine

Laser marking machines with different laser sources feature distinct parameters and are designed for marking on different materials. Today we will elaborate on the differences between UV laser marking machines and fiber laser marking machines.
The ultraviolet laser marker adopts a 355nm cold laser source that causes no damage to material surfaces. It delivers outstanding marking results on plastics and films and is widely used in industry for marking QR codes, production dates and product specifications.
The fiber laser marker uses a 1064nm thermal laser source, also known as a metal laser marker for its superior marking performance on metals. It realizes non-contact processing with no product damage, no tool wear and high-quality marking results.
Having covered their applicable marking materials, we will next introduce the warranty policies for the two types of equipment. The UV laser marker generally comes with a 1.5 to 2-year warranty; faulty parts usually require factory return for maintenance or replacement. In contrast, fiber laser markers rarely break down thanks to their extremely long service life.
